The medium of mixed media collage lends itself well to developing a visual vocabulary for describing and translating experiences. My life pulls me in many different directions. I seek a measure of order in chaos, peace in conflict, wholeness in fragmentation, creative action in a context of destructive action. Collage is both a process and a medium in which I am able to give voice to such stresses and tensions. I use fragments (found and created images) to show the value of opposite and equal qualities and how they define and potentially transform one another.
